Tiempo libre

Of all the things that feel different after a break up, the one that sticks out to me most (at least right now) is time.

Suddenly, I don’t feel the need to have to call him. I don’t have dinner dates set up or plans for the weekend that involve him. I’m not fighting my way through LA traffic just so I can hang out at his apartment. I don’t stop by his office before leaving campus or go over there to have lunch.

I have all this “free” time on my hands. I guess I should study.

  1. you should use some of that time do something nice for yourself. (not that studying isn’t nice!). hope you feel better soon.
    un cyber-abrazo,
    j@>–>>—

  2. Go do something nice for yourself girl. If I lived over there I’d take you out on a girls day, get some pedi’s, a mani, watch a girlie movie or go shopping. Or maybe just sit down at the local mall and people watch and chill out. Go to the museum or a local bar and drink a couple of drinks. Maybe hit the club and dance until our feet hurt so much we can’t even walk to the car.

So many things to do, so little time!

Remember Cindy, whatever doesn’t kill us, always makes us stronger. Experiencing life is the key to “living it.” It’s not always happy, but if it was, we’d never appreciate the good things that come our way. You hang in there girl. From one girl to another. . .I know what you’re going through.

    Dale tiempo al tiempo.

    *hugs*

  3. Why don’t you come down to SD and hang out with your favorite conservative? We could go watch a baseball game or something, you know how much I love going to those games. :-) Or you could also try saying yes the next time I invite you somewhere. Either one…

  4. Miss Lu,

The good part about times like these is that we reconnect with friends that we have put on the back burner. I haven’t been on-line in a while, and I’m glad to be back. I always like dropping by your world. I can’t wait for the bloggero bash.

    Abrazos…

  5. ‘To the beach with your favorite non-partisan independent’ ??? oh yeah, that sounds like a really great way fill up time (yawn)…. I suggest a fun baseball game to help fill up the day. I think Cindylu would much rather do that. ;-)

  6. Jennifer,
Thanks for el abrazo. It’s a good thing I just started a new job and am pretty busy with school. It keeps from feeling sorry for myself and sulking.

    Frances,
    I’m working on it!

    Oso,
I’m a professor in training (maybe), so Jennifer’s suggestion didn’t sound too weird. But studying for me is mainly just reading. You like reading too. I want to visit San Diego… let’s see when I get a free weekend. You’ll keep HP away from me, right?

    Cad,
I like your suggestions, especially the one about dancing ’til my feet hurt. I did that last week, sort of, but it was with danza Azteca. Damn… I was sore the next couple of days.

    HP,
A baseball game is hardly fun when your companion spends the time studying and then, in the 9th inning when the score is tied asks if the game is going in to “overtime.” I’ve gone to many baseball games with Alfred, they’re rather fun since he actually knows what’s going on…

Oh, and you’d have to invite me somewhere for me to actually reject you.

    Alfie,
I hardly think you’re non partisan… get on eBay and find some more deals on Dodger tickets. I’ll let you know what days don’t suck.

    Nebur,
I’d like to think I didn’t put any friends on the back burner while I was in a relationship even though I know there’s friendships I completely burned… The blogero bash planning needs to get underway again. Yikes.

    Tin,
Aw. I hope your compadre finds the strengths he needs. Thanks for the kind words.

  7. Let me know if you’d like to take some time to read a couple APP books. I can go look for some damaged ones to send you.

I hope making the front page of the Daily Bruin made you feel better.
