I want to write more regularly. I find that everytime I open up notepad or begin to write in wordpress I stop because I don’t have a topic. I also have about 11 posts in draft form. Maybe I’ll post those.
So yeah… give me topics, questions, something to just think about… whatever.
In the mean time, go read El Chavo at his blog Chanfles! He’s one of those rare Los Angeles Latino blogeros and he’s actually brave enough to try huevos rancheros in a cone.
I have the same problem. Actually, sometimes I feel like I have nothing to talk about when I see people I know because I’ve really done nothing this summer. Yet, I hate talking about work.
Anyway, you asked for suggestions…what song could you live without ever hearing and why?

Maybe a memorable concert? I would write about the time we went to the House of Blues on Sunset to see Res and the Roots….or maybe Los Tigres del Norte? I bet you have more of these to write about than me…I’m just a loner teacher who doesn’t go out enough.

Here’s a topic: What do you think about not being Mexican enough? I’m first generation Mexican/American and I don’t listen to rock en espanol, I don’t speak spanglish and I rooted for the US as much as I did for Mexico in the World Cup. Does that make me less of a Mexican? A lot of latinos make me feel that way.

I think your are a little thin in politics. For example, Mexico just went through an election and I didn’t saw any comments. Another one, LAs Urban Farm just got attacked, and there weren’t any comments on that.
You have a great site, and its for you to make what you like.

Cindy, how about this: Choose a photograph off of Flickr, preferably one that isn’t from your contacts list, just an image that grabs your attention. Then write whatever it is that it reminds you of. Often times when I’m looking at Flickr photos, a million things run through my mind, it’s really bad-ass you know this bum rush of emotions, thoughts, ideas. Write them down, and share it with us.
