Question of the week: Travelling Lu

I’m nearing the end of my term as the external vice president and am not sure if I’ll be doing a similar position next year or not. So, that means I won’t be taking too many trips to the Bay Area and Sacramento next year. The travel has definitely been fun… and free. Except for the amount of time it takes. I’ve made some great friends and have learned a lot during my two year tenure. I’ve also earned a couple of free roundtrip flights. I used the first one for a trip to Houston in February.
I have another free round trip ticket.
La pregunta: Where should I go and why?
(Refer to the map of cities where Southwest Airlines flies.)
Edit: I’ve visited Portland, Seattle, Chicago, Houston, New York, Boston, Washington DC, Detroit, Ann Arbor, Las Vegas and all the California cities (what a surprise).
Seattle. Go see the Troll, check out Fremont (art district and Lenin), go to the Space Needle and see the whole city, the islands, and Canada for a day. Now if you have been there already, go to Manchester and travel to Maine. I mean how many times will you be able to go check out New England.
New York would be a nice place to go, basically porque it’s a whole different environment out there (I would think) Different cultura, comida, many places to see. If you do decide to go there, try the pizza and let me know if it’s as good as they say it is, better yet just give up the tickets loca! it sounds as if you’ve traveled enough
i think you should check out miami (& take me with you hee hee). i think you will find great food, good music and beautiful people there =D
South Padre Island
New York!!!
Ooops…already been here.
I would say New Orleans. They need your $$$ and you can contribute to the rebirth.
Otherwise I would say Albuquerque, Denver, or San Antonio.
Helena, Montana.
Are we restricted to the cities on the map?
How cool that all your travelling has scored you a free ticket! If you haven’t been there yet, I vote my hometown, El ‘Burque (that’s Alburquerque, for those in the know.) Because it’s just way cool man!
Santa Fe, New Mexico. The best food in the USA, or anywhere for that matter. Taos and Albuquerque are nearby.
Nashville man. Go all the way to Nashville!
After finding out that you went to Seattle, I still say that you go to Maine. It is beautiful, if you like seafood, you will love clam chowder. When I went to Maine, I loved it and still hope to return one day to visit.
I’ve never been to Nashville, but I’ll second a vote for it considering its proximity to Memphis. Where you can grab some hot wings before visiting the National Civil Rights Museum.
AUSTIN yo.
Come see the hundreds of bats fly from underneath the Congress Avenue bridge at dusk. And we’re the “Live Music Capital of the World,” so you could check out some of the bands here. You would have a blast at Grupo Fantasma show. They’re Prince’s new favorite band

And I’ll take you dancing at the Red Fez.
True story.
Hope you’re doing well.
Fabian,
By Troll do you mean Eligio? I heard he’s going to school there. Hmm. I’ve never thought about Maine. Could be an interesting trip.
Desert Chicano,
I’m not giving up the tickets! I’ve been to New York before and had a wonderful time. I had pizza too, but I don’t remember being terribly impressed by it.
Chispa,
Miami sounds expensive. I like going to places where I know people and can crash on a couch. However, it’s definitely one of the big cities I’d like to visit.
Julissa,
What’s so great about South Padre Island? I’m already going to Cancun this summer, so I’m not sure I need more beach time. Heh/
Xoloitzquintle,
I’m not sure I’d like to do New York in the summer, but I’d love to go to Mets and Yankees games there. I visited in the winter and loved it. You give too many choices! All those places sound too hot in the summer.
Diego,
My free ticket is on Southwest, so yeah I’m limited to the cities on the map.
La Rebelde,
I know very little about New Mexico. All I hear about is Santa Fe. What’s good in Albuquerque?
TacoSam,
Hmm. A food tour. That could be good.
Alejandro,
Nashville? Huh.
Nate,
Okay, you present a better a case for Nashville. But I’m not a fan of hot wings.
Nublax,
I’ve been eyeing Austin for a while. I have a few friends moving there soon too. I’ve heard about Grupo Fantasma before from some other Austin bloggers. I liked them before Prince! Does that make me cooler than Prince? not likely.
Too funny Cindy. Maybe Eligio will step in, but for now it’s this one:

Hugs.
I am so sorry Cindy, I am just now catching up on your old blog posts. I say Columbus Ohio
and we are a hub!
