Exactly. There are a lot of organizations out there doing what they can to help these students get to college. It’s not the only way, of course.

Yup.

Of course you would. I’m not sure public universities could do that since I think the student would have to be eligible for financial aid and these kids are ineligible because of their immigration status. Also, we all know that tuition is less than half of the actual cost of going to a place like UCLA (well, if you want to live on or near the campus). Those students would still have to deal with paying for housing, books, transportation, food, etc.

I like the second Dream Act better. Probably for the exact same reasons that XP dislikes it.

Btw, couldn’t Universities just pardon the tuition of undocumented students? Do they have that right?

dreams get vetoed, but they don’t die. el gobierno no es tierra fertil para los sueños, los sueños florecen en el pueblo. hopefully there will come a time, when we do not need to ask the government for a good education, and we can provide it ourselves. thanks for keeping us inform about all this. peace.

Matías was my intern at the Weekly and a hell of a guy (and is an OC boy!). Gotta say, though, he looked better with the buzz than the emo haircut!
