My favorite photos of 2007 you probably haven’t seen

Tulum
Tulúm, Quintana Roo, México

I lagged on the Miércoles de Mil Palabras this year mainly because I didn’t have a camera for the first half of the year. Most of the pictures I took then were taken with Ralph’s camera. I think I used it more than he did. By June, I bought a camera for the family trip to Cozumel. I don’t take as many pictures as I used to (studying for quals isn’t all that exciting), but I do have some.

I chose the photos based on the following considerations: story told, amusing factor (as nebulous as Flickr’s “interesting” factor), and composition.

January

Bob's Big Boy still exists!
En route to Las Vegas, Barstow

February

Besos
Verónica and Julio, Houston

March

New oversized sunglasses, same silly me
Big red glasses at Mike and Melissa’s wedding, Fremont

April

Cherry blossoms and the Capitol
The Capitol, Washington DC

May

Um. No pictures.

June

El Castillo/Temple of Kukulcan

July

Chispa *hearts* Adrian

August

The view from my cousin's new house
En el rancho, Salamanca, Guanajuato

My actual favorite picture was taken on my birthday at Little Temple. If you can see it, you’re my friend on Flickr. If not, oh well.

September

Tío Pancho put the puppy in a bag as a gift
Vanny, tío Pancho and Ofie, Ontario

October

Nolan went a little overboard on the ketchup
Nolan and way too much ketchup at In-N-Out, Westwood

November

Suuuuugar Skull
Calaca, Santa Monica

December

Alejandro and Santa
Alejandro, Hacienda Heights
